Host Club: Stratford upon Avon Cricket Club
The host cricket club for 4th World Vintage Cricket Club will be Stratford upon Avon Cricket Club, Swans Nest Lane, centre of Stratford upon Avon. The club has hosted a number of 1st Class matches including County Championship Division 1 matches-Warwickshire v Lancashire in 2004 and Warwickshire v Hampshire in 2005. In the latter match, the inimitable Shane Warne managed 6 for 88 for Hampshire who lost the match by 10 wickets.

In 2005 the ground hosted a Womens One Day Inernational between England and Australia won by England by 2 runs. In 1982 Bermuda defeated East Africa by 64 runs in an ICC Trophy match and in 1986 Bermuda were surprisingly beaten by the United States of America by 3 wickets in another ICC Trophy match. Minor Counties matches have been played since 1931 and Second XI Championship matches since 1960.
Stratford upon Avon Cricket Club has superb faclities right in the centre of Stratford upon Avon overlooking the River, The Theatre and the (Shakespeare's) Church. The ground in addition to the matches already mentioned host a programme of League cricket in the Birmingham League.
The Cricket Club is part of the Stratford upon Avon Sports Club which cater for 6 sports - athletics, cricket, hockey, snooker, squash and tennis. A warm and welcoming club rooms alongside an attractive ground, helpful and encouraging club members, a history and tradition in hosting cricket at all levels, the Stratford upon Avon Cricket Club is an ideal host for the 4th World Vintage Cricket Carnival.
